Photography

Before Convocation

Graduation photos are optional and are the responsibility of the student. Students wishing to be included in the composite photo for their graduating class (if one exists) should contact their Department or Faculty or students' council.

At Convocation

GradImages Canada is Western’s partner for professional Convocation photographs. Attending graduates will have their portraits taken at Convocation, and Western will provide each a 5x7 photograph free of charge after the ceremony. Students must pre-register online here where they select their ceremony date and time.

After Convocation

Students who preregister should receive emails with a promotional code and their Customer Number to log in with. Students who did not preregister but wish to access their photos must email customer service at GradImages in order to receive their secure Customer Number. Visit www.gradimages.com, click on the 'Customer Service' tab, select 'Email,' and complete the information.

To get the free photo, students should use the promotional code they were emailed at the time of checkout. This code will be applied to the order at checkout but does not cover a small shipping and handling fee.

Important: At Western University, Convocation is an exciting event showcasing our students' success. For that reason, photographers from Western will be taking photos during the event which may be used by the University for promotional or archival purposes. The photos taken during Convocation may or may not include your recognizable image. By participating in Convocation, you consent to being photographed and authorize the University to use the photographs in print, digital or web based format for its promotional and archival purposes.
